Outside the Laingsburg Elementary School a superhero obstacle course awaited hundreds of students.

On Friday Oct. 5, students from grades k-8 participated in the annual Pack Run fundraiser for the Parent Association of Laingsburg Students (PALS). Parent volunteers helped with setting up more than a dozen superhero themed obstacles for the fundraiser.

“I had so much fun at the Pack Run,” first grader Aubrey Budnick said. “My favorite part was the slides because I really like sliding.”

The event started at 8:30 a.m. with kindergarteners up first. Each grade got to participate for about an hour before going back to class. The class that earned the most amount of money in each grade will be rewarded with a pizza party.

Along with raising money for the schools, many students created lasting memories throughout the entire day.

“One of my friends slipped and fell in the rope lasers and got completely stuck,” eighth grader Kellyn Heaton said. “It was the funniest part of my day.”
