FFA Regional Competition

On Wednesday February 23, 2022, the Laingsburg High School FFA Chapter competed in their regional competition. The chapter had many of their categories advance to Regionals, including Greenhand Conduct of Meeting, Agricultural Issues, Public Speaking, and Prepared Public Speaking. None of their competitions made it to the state level.

“My favorite part is just seeing kids step out of their comfort zone, and being brave enough to actually get out there and do public speaking in front of the spectators that come to a contest,” Autumn Ash, chapter advisor, said.

Even if the team did not move past regionals, they were all still happy they had made it that far. Making it to regionals still brought kids out of their own shell and encouraged them to do something they may not have normally done.

“I am happy that we made it to regionals, and I am happy with the score I got since it shows that I improved since districts,” Kaitlyn Kingsburg said. “I am super excited to compete again next year!”
