Senior Year

A poem by Alyssa Magyar

Alyssa Magyar

As a senior all you think about is

Getting to graduate and finish school.

You take all of the tests and all the quizzes,

Sitting through classes not thinking its cool.

Wishing you didn’t have to go to school

Wanting to spend all your time with your friends

Not realizing you were being a fool

Because it would come to a sudden end.

Not getting a prom or a very last day,

Not getting to leave your house and have fun,

Now thinking that school was pretty okay,

Not knowing this’s how you’d be done.

Taking for granted the time that you had

And remembering the times that were rad.
